Joe Green isn’t running for Mayor to make big speeches. He’s running to keep Vista moving in the right direction.
A lifelong Vista resident, local real estate broker, husband, father, and eight year City Councilmember, Joe has spent his career working directly in the neighborhoods he represents. He understands what families, homeowners, renters, and small business owners deal with day to day because he works with them every day.
On the City Council, Joe focused on practical results:
Now he is running for Mayor to build on that progress and protect what makes Vista special.
Joe believes a thriving city starts with safe streets. As Mayor he will support the Sheriff’s Department and Fire Department with modern equipment, community policing programs, youth prevention efforts, and expanded mental health response resources. He will also create a Mayor’s Public Safety Advisory Council so residents and first responders work together to solve problems early.
Vista is growing and the city must keep up. Joe will prioritize road repairs, stormwater improvements, and reliable utilities by pursuing outside funding and completing projects already underway.
Joe will streamline permitting, help small businesses open faster, and attract quality employers while protecting Vista’s character.
Joe will expand recreation opportunities, support schools and youth programs, and continue community events that bring residents together.
As a real estate professional, Joe supports balanced development that creates workforce housing while preserving open space and neighborhood quality of life.
Joe believes local government works best when it listens. As Mayor he will host regular community forums and work collaboratively to deliver results.
